National Dedication and Civic Memorial Service

The Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial was opened to the public on 22 February 2017, the sixth anniversary of the devastating earthquakes.

Private Blessing Event

The previous evening, the memorial was unveiled to bereaved families at a Private Blessing Event, attended by 650 people from around the world. This is the Order of Service for the brief ceremony, which was led by Ngāi Tahu.
